Volaris Costa Rica plans to convert Costa Rica into its Central American hub and launch direct flights to South America from 2019, according to Manuel Jaquez, the new Commercial Director.
Jaquez further announced that by 2019, the airline will add two or three additional aircraft in Costa Rica, adding to the four already in the country.
The Costa Rican carrier, a subsidiary of its Mexican parent, Concesionaria Vuela Compañía de Aviación (Volaris), also plans to develop a program to allow the exchange of aircraft with its parent, which has more than 70 aircraft.
