Vueling Airlines appoints Ulla Siebke as the new Country Manager for Germany

Barcelona/Berlin, September 10, 2013. In a move to support Vueling’s expansion plans in Germany, Ulla Siebke has been appointed as Country Manager for Germany, effective immediately. With this newly established position Vueling, Spain’s largest airline, will further strengthen its growth in the German market.

Siebke spent the last seven years as Sales and Account Manager for SAS Scandinavian Airlines.

Previously she has held different roles at a number of international airlines including United Airlines, Aero Lloyd, Cathay Pacific and German Wings.

„With Ulla Siebke we have gained a highly qualified expert for this exciting new position. With her expertise she will take Vueling in Germany to a whole new level of passenger numbers. She is well positioned to support our continuous expansion strategy,“ said Dr. Julio Rodriguez, CCO of Vueling.

Based in Frankfurt-am-Main Siebke is responsible for the strategic development of Vueling in the German market, and has become the principal contact for travel agencies, tour operators, consolidators, and other strategic partners. "Germany is one of the key markets for Vueling. We want to establish Vueling as an innovative, alternative airline product to existing service providers,“ Siebke says.

Vueling operates from ten airports in Germany and in 2012 carried 318,000 passengers in Germany. For 2013 Vueling aims to triple these numbers.
