Vueling increases traffic by 8% in February

Barcelona, 12th March 2013. – Vueling Airlines has increased traffic by 8% year on year in Revenue Passenger Kilometres (RPK). The company has carried 778 thousand passengers and has reached a load factor of 77.7%. It should be noted that there were 28 days in February 2013 compared with 29 days in February 2012.

The traffic figures have been negatively impacted by the strike of Iberia handling and maintenance services. This situation has forced Vueling to cancel 354 flights, which represent 5.8% of the total scheduled flights.

New international routes
Vueling continues expanding its route network. Vueling has announced two new routes from Barcelona to Reykjavik (Iceland) and Kiev (Ukraine). In Bilbao airport Vueling has also anannounced the opening of two new routes: Marrakech (Morocco) and Bucharest (Romania). Finally, in Madrid Vueling will operate a new route to Bucharest.
