Vx Capital Partners purchased the first of four contracted ex-Air China 737-300 aircraft from Air Lease Corporation. Delivery of the subsequent three aircraft are expected to occurred over a six month period as they are retired from Air China’s fleet. Vx is partnering with Aircraft and Engine Parts (A&E) of Miami, FL on the transaction. Some of the engines harvested from these aircraft will enter the Vx engine leasing pool. Other engines will torn down and sold for parts by ANE. Bob Brown, Partner at Vx said, “With this transaction, Vx has made a significant step into the engine leasing and tear down business. We hope to build on this experience with other similar transactions in the future”.
