WestJet announces departure of Cam Kenyon

CALGARY, May 15, 2013 /CNW/ – WestJet today announced the departure of Cam Kenyon, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Operations, effective July 20, 2013. Cam will be returning to Denver to be with his family.

“Cam has been an integral part of the WestJet team since his arrival in January 2011 and has shown himself to be a skilled and valued leader,” said Gregg Saretsky, WestJet President and CEO. “Cam exemplifies and embraces who we are, culturally. His contributions have been many and he will be greatly missed.”

“I am regrettably leaving a company I love at a time when there are so many exciting initiatives underway,” commented Cam Kenyon. “My family made the decision to return to Denver from Calgary in June 2012 and since that time, I have been commuting between the two cities. This was a tremendously difficult decision that only I could make, but ultimately it is important that I put my own family ahead of my WestJet family. I will always consider myself a WestJetter.”

A search for Cam’s replacement is currently underway.
