WestJet launches new daily non-stop service between Toronto and Phoenix

CALGARY, Oct. 24, 2014 /CNW/ – WestJet will launch new daily non-stop service between Toronto and Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday October 26, 2014.

“Already a popular destination from Western Canada, we are delighted to offer even more non-stop service to the Valley of the Sun,” said Chris Avery, WestJet Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development. “With hundreds of golf courses, countless world-class conference and convention facilities, and of course the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, Arizona is a must for Canadians looking to escape the winter cold.”

Roughly 750,000 Canadians visit Arizona every year and about one-quarter of those visitors are from Ontario, drawn by unbeatable weather and plenty of leisure activities. The Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport is one of largest hubs for WestJet partner American Airlines, with access to more than 300 flights daily.

WestJet Vacations offers a variety of accommodation options in Arizona including hotels, resorts and condos, designed to suit every budget. For example, book a seven-night stay at the Chaparral Suite Resort in Scottsdale in a one-bedroom suite with full cooked- to-order breakfast daily from $999 (taxes included).
